Advancing discovery, learning, and opportunity through AI.

Vice President & Chief AI Officer, George Mason University · Associate Dean for Research, College of Engineering & Computing · Professor, Computer Science

My work spans AI research, interdisciplinary education, academic program creation, and university-wide strategy. I lead a research lab connecting foundational methods with AI-enabled scientific discovery across domains; design courses, degrees, and pathways for learners within and across disciplines; build institutional and national research and educational programs; lead institutes, centers, and partnerships; and guide university-wide AI strategy at scale, working across faculty, students, and academic units at a public, access-driven R1 university, the largest in Virginia.
